API 5L x70 PSL2 Schedule Pipe

High-strength API 5L X70 PSL2 line pipe engineered for long-distance oil, gas and petroleum transmission systems. Manufactured from carbon steel to API 5L with PSL2 quality control, this pipe option is suitable for demanding pipeline applications that require higher mechanical properties and more stringent testing and inspection than PSL1.

  • Seamless: 1/2" NB – 60" NB
  • ERW: 1/2" NB – 24" NB
  • LSAW: 16" NB – 100" NB
• Wall thickness / schedules: SCH10, SCH20, SCH40, SCH80, SCH160, SCHXXS (other schedules on request)
• Lengths: 3 m – 18 m (custom cut-to-length available)
• Ends: Plain (plain end) or beveled; other end preparations on request
• Surface/coating options: Bare, black painted, galvanized, varnish, oiled/anti-rust, or customer-specified coatings
• Packaging options: Plastic end caps, steel banded bundles (hexagonal bundles ~2,000 kg), waterproof wrapping with PVC sleeve and sackcloth, marked with tags per bundle

Quality control and tests

• Chemical composition analysis and full mechanical testing (ultimate tensile strength, yield strength, elongation)
• Technical and performance tests: flattening, bending, hardness, impact, blow (burst) tests
• Non-destructive and pressure tests: X-ray/RT (for weld inspection) and hydrostatic testing (standard reference pressure up to 20.7 MPa / 3,000 psi)
• External dimensional inspection and marking according to API 5L requirements
• Supplied by an ISO 9001 certified source (documentation available on request)
