ABS Grade EH36 Steel Plates

High-strength ABS EH36 shipbuilding plate engineered for offshore and marine structural applications. EH36 is an ABS-classified, higher-strength shipbuilding steel offering a balance of high yield strength, tensile strength and good low-temperature toughness — suitable for hull structures, decks, bulkheads and offshore platforms where greater structural capacity is required.

• Mechanical properties: yield strength 51,000 psi (355 MPa); ultimate tensile strength 71,000–90,000 psi (490–620 MPa).
• Typical dimensions: thicknesses from 4 mm up to 260 mm; plate widths from 1,200 mm and plate lengths from 3,000 mm (custom sizes and cutting services available on request).
• Delivery/processing conditions: AR (as-rolled), TMCP (thermo-mechanical control process), Q+T (quench and temper), N (normalized), CR (control rolled).
• Production and finishing: hot-rolled (HR), control-rolled (CR), TMCP, normalized, Q&T; options for impact testing and toughness grading (e.g., Z15, Z25) as required for classification society acceptance.
• Classification equivalence: commonly specified as ABS EH36 and has equivalents or recognition by other societies (LR EH36, CCS EH36, BV EH36, GL-E36, NV E36, RINA), facilitating acceptance for international shipbuilding projects.
