High-strength structural steel conforming to DIN 17100 St52-3, offered in plates, sheets and long products for offshore and structural applications. St52-3 (equivalent to several international grades listed below) is a low-carbon, weldable structural alloy produced by a fully killed steel process and supplied in normalized or controlled-rolling conditions to ensure consistent mechanical properties and good cold-forming performance.

Key features

  • Conforms to DIN 17100 (St52-3); comparable references include EN 10025-2:2004 S355J2, JIS SS490/SM490A, BS:50B and UNI7070 (as indicated by supplier).
  • Low carbon, high tensile-strength structural steel with good weldability and cold-forming characteristics.
  • Produced by fully killed steel process; available as normalized or controlled-rolled to meet fabrication demands.

Available product forms and dimensions

  • Plates and sheets: thickness range 2 mm to 300 mm; width 1000 mm to 4500 mm; length 3000 mm to 18000 mm.
  • Other shapes: coils, angles, round bars, H-beams and channels — custom sizes available on request.

Surface and supply options

  • Surface finishes: bare (mill), galvanized coating, or customer-specified coatings.
  • Supply conditions: as-rolled, normalized rolling, furnace normalizing, vacuum degassing, or per customer requirement.

Typical applications

  • Offshore structures, marine components
  • Bridges, buildings and general structural steelwork
  • Heavy fabrication and welded constructions

Ordering and customization

  • Available in multiple sizes and shapes; bundles and cut-to-length options can be supplied to match project specifications.
  • Chemical and mechanical test reports, inspection and certification can be provided per order requirements (specify needed standards and testing at enquiry).

For RFQs, specify required product form, dimensions, quantity, surface treatment and supply condition so suppliers can provide pricing and lead times tailored to your project.
