06Cr19Ni10 Steel

Austenitic chromium‑nickel stainless steel grade 06Cr19Ni10 (commonly equivalent to AISI 304 / EN 1.4301) is a versatile, widely used stainless alloy for industrial, foodservice, medical and decorative applications. It combines good corrosion resistance, high toughness and excellent formability with stable performance across a wide temperature range.

• Corrosion and heat resistance suitable for many environments; continuous use up to around 800 °C for certain applications
• Good cold and hot workability (stamping, bending, drawing) with no tendency to harden by heat treatment
• High toughness and reliable mechanical performance across a broad temperature range

• Hardness: ≤ 201 HBW; ≤ 92 HRB; ≤ 210 HV
• Melting point: 1398 – 1454 °C
• Thermal conductivity: ≈ 3 W·m⁻¹·K⁻¹ at 100 °C; ≈ 5 W·m⁻¹·K⁻¹ at 500 °C
• Coefficient of linear expansion: ~2 × 10⁻⁶ K⁻¹ (0–100 °C); ~4 × 10⁻⁶ K⁻¹ (0–500 °C)
• Longitudinal elastic modulus (20 °C): ≈ 193 GPa
• Typical density: ≈ 8.0 g/cm³
