Installation and operation notes

• Ensure inlet and suction filters are in place and maintained to avoid pump damage from foreign objects

Control logic (summary)

• Manual mode: press start switch → contactor closes → vacuum pump runs and solenoid valve opens → when water discharges from the vacuum outlet, start the main fire pump → press vacuum pump stop switch → vacuum pump and solenoid valve stop; fire pump continues in normal operation
• Automatic mode: pressing the start button energizes the contactor and solenoid valve, starting the vacuum pump. When the vent/water-flow switch detects discharge, the control relay changes state to de-energize the vacuum unit and provide a normally open signal to the fire-pump control panel to allow automatic start
