High-strength weathering (Corten) structural steel produced to EN 10025-5 (grade S355J2WP). This is a hot-rolled structural steel with improved atmospheric corrosion resistance designed for long-term outdoor exposure where the formation of a stable protective rust patina is required.
-
Typical supply form: hot-rolled plates supplied to customer specifications (thickness, length, width and cut-to-size on request). Materials can be supplied with mill or third-party inspection and packaged for export-ready delivery.
-
Key advantages:
- Enhanced atmospheric corrosion resistance compared with ordinary structural steels
- Reliable structural performance consistent with S355 series nominal strength characteristics
- Manufactured with modern production equipment and controlled raw materials to ensure consistent quality
-
Quality control & testing:
- Supplied with test documentation in accordance with EN 10204 and accompanying laboratory or third-party test reports
- Typical inspections and tests available: positive material identification (PMI), chemical analysis, mechanical testing, hardness testing, ultrasonic testing, intergranular corrosion testing and pitting resistance testing
-
Typical applications:
- Architectural cladding and façades
- Bridges and structural members exposed to the atmosphere
- Outdoor sculptures and landscaping features
