High-strength, weldable non-alloy structural steel produced to BS EN 10025-2 suitable for heavy structural applications. S460N plate is supplied with a fine-grained microstructure in the normalized or normalized-rolled condition to ensure good toughness at the designated low temperatures. The N designation indicates suitability down to -20 °C (NL indicates suitability down to -50 °C).
