High-strength low-alloy structural steel plate manufactured to DIN 17100 ST52-3 specification, suitable for heavy structural and mechanical applications. ST52-3 is a commonly used high-strength steel (often cross-referenced with Chinese Q345B) and is supplied in plate, sheet and other forms for construction, machinery and transport equipment.

Key features

  • Material standard: DIN 17100 ST52-3 (general structural steels)
  • Material class: low-alloy, high-strength structural steel
  • Typical tensile strength: 490–630 MPa
  • Impact energy (as supplied): 27 J (test condition should be confirmed with supplier)
  • Thickness range: from 3 mm (plate) up to coil thickness ≤ 25 mm
  • Typical widths: 1,220–4,200 mm
  • Typical lengths: 5,000–18,000 mm

Available product forms

  • Steel plates / heavy plates
  • Steel sheets
  • Coils (where thickness ≤ 25 mm)
  • Round bars, flat steel, angle steel, H-beams

Standards, inspection and approvals

  • Produced to DIN 17100 for general structural purposes
  • Common third-party approvals available (supplier lists ABS, DNV, GL, CCS, LR, RINA, KR, TUV, CE)
  • Third-party inspection and mill test certificates can typically be provided on request

Typical applications

  • Structural components for buildings and bridges
  • Crane booms, chassis and mobile equipment
  • Machinery parts and welded structures
  • General heavy fabrication where high strength and weldability are required

Ordering notes

  • Thickness, length and surface finish options depend on mill capability and order quantity
  • Confirm required impact test temperature and certificate level (e.g., EN 10204) when requesting quotations
  • For commercial enquiries, request for quotation (RFQ) with required dimensions, quantity and delivery terms
