Portable ultrasonic measurement instrument for determining the thickness of homogeneous materials without destructiveness. It allows the installation of special probes according to the application (e.g., materials with damping or dispersion) and is suitable for metals, plastics, ceramics, epoxy resins, glass and other homogeneous materials.
-
Measurement characteristics:
- Modes: Pulse-echo (defect and delamination detection) and Double echo (hides the coating thickness).
- Range (depending on probe):
- Pulse-echo: 0.65 … 600 mm (steel)
- Double echo: 2.50 … 100 mm
- Precision: ±0.04 mm (H < 10 mm); ±0.4 % H (H > 10 mm) — H = material thickness.
- Adjustable resolution: 0.1 mm / 0.01 mm / 0.001 mm.
- Units: mm / inch.
-
Calibration and display modes:
- Ultrasound speed calibration, zero point calibration and two-point calibration.

Available sensors (summary):
- NO2 — 2.5 MHz, ø 14 mm. Typical range 3 … 300 mm (steel). Designed for materials with damping/dispersion (plastics, cast parts). Not suitable for highly curved materials.
- NO5 — 5 MHz, ø 10 mm. Range 1 … 600 mm (steel). General application. Minimum tube diameter/thickness: 20 x 3 mm.
- NO5/90° — 5 MHz, ø 10 mm. Same as NO5, with 90° orientation.
- NO7 — 7 MHz, ø 6 mm. Range 0.65 … 200 mm (steel). Recommended for thin walls and highly curved tubes. Minimum diameter/thickness: 15 x 2 mm.
- HT5 — 5 MHz, ø 12 mm. Range 1 … 600 mm (steel). For high temperature measurements (up to 300 °C). Minimum diameter: 30 mm.
- P5EE — 5 MHz, ø 10 mm. Range P-E: 2 … 600 mm; E-E: 2.5 … 100 mm. Supports normal and double echo modes.
