High-quality carbon steel plate manufactured to ASTM A516 for pressure-vessel and boiler applications in moderate- and lower-temperature service. A516 Grade 65 plates combine low carbon content and controlled chemistry with good impact resistance, weldability and fatigue performance — suitable where dimensional accuracy, surface quality and resistance to cracking are required.

Key features

  • Standard: ASTM A516 (pressure-vessel grade carbon steel)
  • Typical grades available: A516 Grade 55, Grade 65, Grade 70
  • Mechanical and material attributes: low carbon equivalent, good impact resistance at lower temperatures, good weldability, improved resistance to cracking and sour-service (H2S) conditions compared with generic carbon plate
  • Dimensional control: tight tolerances and consistent surface quality for plate fabrication

Typical dimensions & commercial terms

  • Thickness: up to 260 mm
  • Width: 1,000 mm – 4,000 mm
  • Length: 1,000 mm – 18,000 mm
  • Minimum order quantity (MOQ): 5 pieces
  • Stock: available (prompt delivery from stock) or production lead time 10–40 days
  • Mill Test Certificate (MTC): available on request
  • Payment terms: T/T or L/C at sight

Applications

Commonly used for pressure vessels, boilers and other welded fabrications requiring certified, low-temperature-capable carbon steel plate.

Ordering notes

Specify required ASTM grade, exact thickness/size, any heat-treatment or additional testing (e.g., impact testing at specified temperatures), and whether MTC or other certificates are required when requesting a quotation.
