Stainless-steel, magnetic-drive vortex pump engineered for leak-sensitive and corrosive fluid handling in industrial processes. The CWB series uses a permanent-magnet coupling to transmit torque non‑contact, driving an internal rotor and impeller inside a fully enclosed isolation sleeve — eliminating conventional shaft seals and greatly reducing the risk of product leakage or vapor release.
Key features
- Sealless magnetic drive (permanent magnet coupling) for hermetic containment of pumped media
- Stainless-steel wetted parts for corrosion resistance and durability in aggressive environments
- Vortex (regenerative) impeller design: thick disk impeller with multiple radial blades, operating with an annular flow channel to repeatedly transfer energy to the liquid
- Suitable for flammable, volatile, toxic or high-value fluids where leakage is unacceptable
- Typical operating efficiency range (regenerative/vortex pumps): approximately 20–50% depending on duty and hydraulic conditions
How it works (brief)
The motor rotates the external magnetic rotor, which magnetically transmits torque through the isolation sleeve to the internal rotor and impeller. The impeller throws liquid into an annular flow channel where the fluid spirals and re-enters blade passages multiple times; this multi-pass energy transfer produces higher discharge pressure without volute or guide vanes used in standard centrifugal pumps.
Typical applications
- Chemical processing (acids, alkalis, corrosives)
- Petrochemical and solvent handling (alcohols, benzene, phenol)
- Electroplating, pickling and electrolysis operations
- Pharmaceuticals, dyes, pesticides and fine chemicals
- Paper, smelting, rare earth processing and research institutions
- Any service requiring sealed, leak-free transfer of flammable, volatile, toxic or precious liquids
Why choose this pump
Magnetic vortex pumps from the CWB series are optimized for processes where containment and corrosion resistance are critical. The sealless design reduces maintenance associated with shaft seals, lowers environmental and personnel risk from leaks, and is especially suitable for handling aggressive or hazardous liquids that cannot tolerate leakage or contamination. The pump’s regenerative (vortex) action enables higher pressure rises through repeated energy transfer, making it useful where boosted discharge pressure is needed in a compact package.
