Vertical, single-stage, single-suction centrifugal submerged pump engineered for handling high-temperature, concentrated sulfuric acid and other highly corrosive liquids. Designed for reliable, long-term operation in acid production, recovery and flue-gas desulfurization systems, the LSB series combines DIN24256 / ISO2858 dimensional standards with specialized corrosion-resistant materials and sealing options for elevated-temperature service.

  • Standards and serviceability: Pump dimensions and performance conform to DIN24256 / ISO2858 for interchangeability; engineered for straightforward disassembly and maintenance.
  • Robust submerged design: Vertical cantilever arrangement with an extended suction pipe to increase insertion depth and improve rigidity and stability of the pump unit.
  • Corrosion-resistant flow path: Impeller and wetted components are available in advanced alloys such as IMRC-1 (Lewmet-55), Lewmet-75, SS920, 20# alloy, K-alloy, 20CB3, 2520, 904L and other specialty materials selected to match acid concentration and temperature conditions.
  • Temperature-capable sealing: Special sealing options allow handling of elevated-temperature sulfuric acid; example applications include service up to about 105 °C and ultra-high-temperature waste-heat-recovery service reported up to about 220 °C (select sealing and materials accordingly).
  • Hydraulic efficiency and reliability: Hydraulic designs were developed for stable operating performance and energy efficiency; axial thrust is balanced by impeller back vanes and remaining axial and radial loads are carried by rolling bearings.
  • Pump construction: Main components include pump body, pump cover, impeller, shaft, bottom plate, intermediate connecting pipe, outlet pipe, seal, bearings and coupling.

Operational notes

  • Before starting, ensure the liquid level is above the impeller centerline to prevent dry running.
  • Rotation direction: counterclockwise when viewed from motor to pump end.

  • 40LSB-30A: 40 = nominal flow (m3/h), LSB = series code, 30 = head (m), A = impeller trimming/cut type.
