Single-screw positive-rotary slurry pump designed for reliable handling of high-concentration, high-viscosity and particulate-laden fluids. The eccentric single screw rotates inside a double-sleeve stator to convey fluid smoothly from suction to discharge with low shear, minimal pulsation and stable flow.
Key benefits
- Handles high concentrations and very viscous media (viscosity up to 10,000 Pa·s) and slurries containing suspended solids.
- Gentle, low-shear transfer — no excessive mixing, overcurrent or pulsation — suitable for shear-sensitive media.
- Flow is directly proportional to speed; low-flow operation still maintains discharge pressure.
- Strong self-priming capability — can draw liquid without a foot valve.
- Reversible rotation for pipeline back-flushing or clearing blockages.
- Low vibration and noise with stable running and simple construction for easy maintenance.
Materials and construction
- Pump casing: cast (standard). Transmission parts (main shaft, screw/rotor, winding shaft) available in stainless steel for general, corrosive or hygienic applications.
- Stator/bushings: options include general wear-resistant rubber, food-grade rubber and oil-resistant rubber.
- Contacts between transmission parts and casing can be stainless steel where required for food, pharmaceutical or corrosive slurries.
Drive and control options
- Transmission modes: direct-coupled motor to pump shaft, motor + gearbox reducer, or motor with triangular (V) pulley drive.
- Motor options: standard enclosed motor, explosion-proof motor, electromagnetic speed-regulating motor.
- Optional stepless speed changer or gear reducer for flow control and process tuning.
Typical applications
- Chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, brewing, pulp & paper and other industries requiring transfer of viscous slurries, pulp, mud or paste-like fluids.
Technical specifications (typical range)
- Flow rate: 1.5–38 m3/h
- Head: 30–120 m
- Power: 1.1–15 kW
- Nominal speed: 960 rpm
- Fluid temperature range: 0–100 °C
- Inlet/outlet diameters: 25–150 mm
Why choose this design
The single-screw (progressing cavity-style) rotary design provides reliable, metered transfer of abrasive or viscous slurries with low maintenance and flexible drive/configuration options. Its reversible, self-priming capability and material choices make it suitable for demanding process environments where stability, hygiene or corrosion resistance are required.
