Description of activity
Youthful winery located in the Sierra de Gredos dedicated to wine production from naturally and ecologically grown Garnacha tinta grapes. The winery works approximately 20 hectares of vineyards in the Alto Alberche area, with century-old vines (over 50 years old) situated between 750 and 1,150 meters above sea level, conditions that favor wines of high expression and territorial character.
The winemaking is carried out with a philosophy of minimal intervention to convey nature to the glass; they work closely with winemaker Daniel Ramos and have received international recognition (silver medal at the Garnachas del Mundo 2019 competition for Avaviento 2017).
Product lines and distinctive features:
- Avaviento Joven: balanced wine, with pronounced fruity expression, fresh and easy to consume.
- Avaviento Oaked: aged in new French oak barrels, which add toasted notes and complexity without hiding the fruit.
- Avaviento Amphorae: made in clay amphorae following traditional methods; fresh, with integrated acidity and very territory-linked character.
- Finca/Paraje wines: special lots aiming to express the particularities of specific parcels (e.g., Goyo 2017, described as a "high-altitude wine" in development).
Value proposition for B2B buyers:
- High-altitude Garnacha wines with clear territorial identity, suitable for distributors, restaurants, and specialty stores seeking unique references from Gredos.
- Production based on old vineyards and natural/ecological agricultural practices that provide differentiation in origin and sensory profile.
- Technical experience supported by collaboration with a recognized winemaker and international competition recognition.
The winery emphasizes the recovery of century-old vineyards in the area and aims to continue developing unique and expressive wines that reflect their mountain environment.
