Compact, single-stage liquid-ring vacuum pump designed for reliable handling of gases and vapours in industrial processes. The unit accepts flange or threaded connections for suction and discharge and delivers a deep vacuum down to 33 mbar (≈97% vacuum). When operated close to the saturated pressure of the operating liquid, a cavitation protection line (or separator connection) is recommended to prevent cavitation, reduce noise and protect the pump. The pump can also operate as a compressor with a maximum discharge pressure of 0.26 MPa.
Key features
- Single-stage liquid-ring design for continuous, oil-free vacuum service
- Flange or threaded suction and exhaust ports for flexible piping installation
- Achieves suction pressures as low as 33 mbar (≈97% vacuum)
- Can be used as a compressor up to 0.26 MPa
- Direct-coupled configuration for compact footprint and easier installation
- Cavitation protection port (or separator interface) to maintain performance near saturation and reduce cavitation noise
- Bronze impeller as standard for strength and corrosion resistance; stainless-steel wetted parts available for aggressive process fluids
- 2BV6 variants designed for handling explosive gases or use in flammable/ explosive environments (same basic performance as 2BV2 / 2BV5 types)
Typical applications
- Pulp & paper: vacuum dewatering, evaporators, suction tanks, couch rolls and anti-wind boxes
- Chemical and petrochemical: vapor recovery, gas collection, exhaust compression, filtration and degassing, polyester and PVC processes
- Power generation: condenser exhausting, priming, flue gas desulfurization support, transformer vacuum pressure impregnation
- Sugar and food processing: CO2 production, wastewater filtration and degassing
Options & installation notes
- Select flange or threaded ports to match plant piping
- Specify stainless-steel wetted components where corrosion resistance is critical
- Install cavitation protection or a separator when operating near liquid saturation pressure to protect the pump and reduce cavitation-induced noise
- Direct-coupled drive recommended where space-saving and simple alignment are priorities
This unit is suitable for industrial buyers seeking a robust, energy-efficient liquid-ring vacuum pump for gas and vapour handling with options for corrosive fluids and explosive-gas-rated variants.
