Onyx Camel is a translucent natural onyx suited for architectural and interior design applications where rich color and backlit effects are required. Its warm camel tones and pronounced veining create striking feature surfaces for commercial and residential projects.

Key selling points

  • Translucent natural stone — excellent for illuminated panels, lightboxes and feature walls
  • Distinctive warm/camel coloration with vivid veining for high-impact aesthetic applications
  • Suitable for polished or honed finishes depending on project requirements
  • Supplied as slabs, tiles or cut-to-size panels for tailored installations

Typical applications

  • Backlit reception desks, bar fronts and decorative light panels
  • Feature walls, vertical cladding and fireplace surrounds
  • Countertops and vanity tops (recommended with appropriate sealing and care)
  • Custom millwork inserts, furniture inlays and architectural accents

Technical and specification notes

  • Natural material: color, veining and translucency vary between slabs — select and approve slabs prior to fabrication
  • Best suited for interior and decorative uses; onyx is softer and more fragile than many other dimension stones and is generally not recommended for heavy-duty flooring in high-traffic areas
  • Finishes: commonly supplied polished for maximum translucency and sheen; honed or leathered finishes available on request
  • Typical fabrication: cutting, edge profiling, back-buttering and lamination for structural backing can be provided to meet project specifications

Handling and maintenance

  • Seal the stone after installation and reseal periodically per manufacturer/fabricator recommendations
  • Clean with pH-neutral stone cleaners; avoid abrasive pads and acidic cleaners (vinegar, citrus)
  • Protect edges and thin sections from impact during transport and installation

Ordering and project support

  • For accurate quoting, provide slab selection, required thickness, quantity, finish and any backlighting or mounting requirements
  • Custom cutting, edge profiling and finishing services are commonly available from stone fabricators; request samples and slab photos for visual approval before fabrication
