Sodium Alginate
Characteristics : tasteless, white or light yellow bead or powder
main usage :
1. In medical industry
Sodium Alginate can be used in soft capsule for intestinal disease administration, radiography agent for barium meals, medicines for gastric diseases, dental impression material and other medical subsidiaries.
2. In printing and dying industry
Used as thickening agent of dye, the printed size is easier to adhere to the printed cloth with better penetrability, the color size dries quickly and retreats easily, the outline is very clear, the strips are hardly broken.
3. In textile industry
Sodium Alginate can improve the brightness and strength of the yarn. During the cloth weaving, the yarn will be hardly losing its starch and no fuzzy. The surface of the finished cloth is smooth and the cloth is easily to wash.
4. In food industry
When used as stabilizer of ice cream, Sodium Alginate can improve its feel in the mouth; enhance the melt-resistance capability of the products. When added in the wheaten product, Sodium Alginate can make the food puffy, soft and bright; expand its volume; improve the strength and hardly dry. Added in the sweet, Sodium Alginate can raise the melting point; improve its toughness and make it un-sticky. Applying the Sodium Alginate in the instant dis solvable drinks, the drinks will be well distributed when adding water; the suspensibility is good and has no precipitate even though stored for a long time. Before refrigeration, if the fruit, fish, meat and other food are firstly coated with Alginate film, germs are prevented from invading and the water content is refrained from evaporating.
5. In other industries
Sodium Alginate can also be used in paper making industry, chemical industry for daily use, casting industry ect.
